Miller BLUE paint - closest REASONABLE spray cans??

Title says it all; I did a (typically disappointing) search, waded thru the first couple HUNDRED (of 1477) results, NONE of which had ALL THREE key words (miller, blue, paint)

Sooo, anybody got a candidate? Gettin' closer to bein' done with the cart for the new MM211, gotta cover up all the ugliness with SOMETHIN', might as well LOOK like it wuz planned :laughing: ..Steve

Either their paint codes are WRONG or my Millers are ALL clones. .

My suggestion would be paint your cart semi-gloss black.

I bought some Ford blue equipment paint that seems to be pretty close. I've seen it at TSC and Home Depot. I think it was Rustoleum so it's likely everywhere. I'll put my MM251 next to the welding table I painted and see how it looks.

Guys, thanks for the quick replies - before I checked back I found this on Amazon

Then checked my local auto parts that handles Krylon - they had 4 of those in stock, but @ $5.50 :cool2:

One of the OTHER amazon links had a "chip chart" sized chip that looked really close

Needed a few other things from town, so picked up the 4 cans @ the auto parts - Main reason (other than cheap) is that Krylon USED to have an actual "fan spray" nozzle on their paints, but discontinued it about a year ago. New cans are the typical rattle can "glob it on, and call it good" ROUND pattern, but the OLD nozzles STILL FIT the new cans. Guess who saved all the nozzles from their OLD cans ? :thumbsup:

Bottom line: inexpensive, likely CLOSE match with a decent, NON-globby finish....

James, I'd checked that link on Miller's site which is where I found out there is more than ONE "version" of "miller blue", so that kinda reinforced my "close enough" tendency -

Terry, the previous comment MIGHT be why you didn't get too close with YOUR purchase - and thanks fer the offer, but it's now covered; maybe you can at least paint something ELSE "close enough" so it'll match the OTHER "close enough"

Jeepnford, I'd heard elsewhere that "ford blue" might be close, but there's no TSC near here, and Homeless Despot lost ALL my patronage last year when they decided that my veteran status was only good (at most) TWICE a YEAR :thumbdown:-

Lowes took less than 10 MINUTES to set me up as a vet with 10% discount on EVERYTHING, every day.

Guess where I shop NOW... Steve

Home Depot does not deny the veteran discount here in Florida.
I did have to call their home office (ATL) to get a discount at a Maine Home Depot for my cottage.
Local Bangor Maine store would not do it, but main office (ATL) sent me an e-mail authorizing the 10% discount (windows - $5000 purchase).
I have heard about this Home Depot issue before, and out of respect for those of you having been denied, I stay out of Home Depot.
LOWE'S IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT !!!!
