Mid PTO available on TC 40 or 45?

I was told a mid PTO is only available on a Hydrostatic tractor for NH?
Is Mid PTO available on NH TC 40 and 45 and does it have to be hydrostatic

On the early tractors (non- "A" or "DA" models), my repair manual says the mid-PTO is only available for TC35D and TC40D models. It was not an option on either the TC45D models or the TC35/40/45 non-HST models.
