Sorry for the multiple posts - I'm new here and since I didn't get any response to my post from the other day, I figured I'd give it another shot.
I have a Kubota RC60-72H MMM, probably from around 1986, that I've had for a year. I bought it with my B6200 last year from a reputable dealer and have used it quite a lot since then.
I ran into a problem last year when I shaved the top off of a nice rock outcropping and somehow managed to bend up the top cover in such a way that it couldn't go all the way up. For that one, I sawz-alled out the bent and broken section and bent and riveted in a piece of flat-stock, and it worked fine and doesn't even look too bad.
Later in the year - and a week before my wedding on my own land (of course) I managed accidentally loosen up the bolt on the middle blade so that it would offer no resistance and not cut. The dealer simply tightened it up for me and refused to even let me buy them lunch - nice guys.
This time around, it just wouldn't cut a thing. I made sure the PTO was working and pulled off the mower. As soon as I got the cover off I saw that the belt had snapped. I got a new belt that seems to be the right size, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to route it.
It looks like I need to unbolt and lift up the gear box on top of the center spindle to thread it onto that spindle, but I'm not sure. Also, there are a couple bolts corresponding to the path the belt takes around the spindles, but they look like they should have some sort of guides or rollers on them.
I just ordered a manual from some guy online, but who knows how long it'll take to get here. Anyone have any ideas? Or if anyone has a similar mower, would it be possible to just pop off the cover and take a quick pic?
