Hi all-

Finally got around to installing my birthday present from August -- a Michigan Iron "Nite-Site" Worklight bar. Very easy to install -- just bolt it to the roll bar, tie the harness down and plug into the aux connector behind the tank. This thing is built like a tank -- switches right on the bar and everything is weatherproof.

Here's some pictures for you all to see. Thanks Michigan Iron for a quality made in the USA product.

I just went out and looked -- they say ublights.com right on the housing. They are probably one of the work light models -- not sure if they are halogen or standard incandescent. The housing is a nice rubber like material and the catalog says they should stand up to road grime and shock and such. The mounting hardware is strong and zinc coated so they won't rust in the weather.

I'm leaving the tractor out til dark so I can take 'em for a test drive.

The rear light is optional and I went for it because hopefully plan to illuminate a nice meteor or other rear mount snowblower with it this winter!

From what I can see of the light in your pic which shows the switches, they look like Halogen type, not LED, (which are the most efficient due to less amp draw and longer life circuits/bulbs). They wouldn't be incandescent, I don't believe- but I could be wrong.... there's always a first time- right?

I don't think the 2 existing wires on my CK20 are large enough gauge to carry the current of even 2 lamps, let alone 3. I'll have to look more closely at mine.

Malk

When do we get to see the the night pictures. I expecting it to look just like the day pictures with thos three lights.

We are waiting for you night time evaluations. My standard front grill CK30 lights do a great job of lighting the back of the FEL Bucket unless I lower the bucket too low for my comfort.

If you get LED lights the current issue won't be a factor, and you'll get brighter and longer life lights to boot.

I agree that LEDs have far lower current draw and longer life. But brighter? Not likely. It would take a very large array of LEDs in a technically sophisticated reflector/lens to match halogens for sheer lumens and pattern.

Ok. It was a test to see if TBNers are actually reading what's posted. You passed.:)
