mf135
Hi I am trying to repair a mf135. My biggest problem so far is trying to get a manual for the mf135. Massey fergussen here in s africa does not have them and I am reluctant to buy a manual from overseas that I cant see the quality first.I am surprised that this info would not be free for a tractor thats not made anymore and is 40 years old . I have managed to download the mf35 manual as well as the perkins repair manual with the help of zimbo. My question is are the mf 35 and 135 similer.I am referring to the rest of the tractor ,not so much the engine. If anyone knows where I can get some literature on the 135 it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Eugene

Go to the Agco site which ownes the Massey brand among others. They have a number of worthwhile manuals....from owners, shop to parts manuals.

Eugene,
I have photos of what you'll get if you order the manuals from www.agcopubs.com
Here in this thread of mine, I have photos. I bought the Service Manual, Parts Book and matching three hole binder which is expandable to include my operators manual.

It seems that the agco site is not accessible in s africa. Is there a difference between the two tractors as there is a manual available for the mf35

G'day plunger.
The gearboxes and the differential ,final drive are the same ,the hydraulic systems are different, the 35 has a mark one pump and the 135 has a mark two pump similar but not the same.
engines are different the 35 has indirect injection ,the 135 has direct injection .
Brakes are the same.
What information are you looking for??????

Hi Shona
Is the back end (Gearbox etc) of a 135 / 35 the same as a 65? I have a feeling my tractor is a mix of 35 and 65 from looking at others.

And could I upgrade the hydraulic pump from a Mk 1 to a Mk 2 in an MF35? Im interested in adding a hydraulic port to my 35, and would like a bit more power and efficiency.
Thanks
Ryan

G'day zimbo.
Early 135 with the coarse spline shaft is the same as the 35 ,the only difference is the later 135 has a fine spline shaft that drives the hydraulic pump.
To change to a mark two pump you would need to change the hydraulic lift cover as a complete assembly.

If you are looking for more flow I would not waste my time ,both the 35 and the 135 have about the same hydraulic flow 3 1/2 Gallons per minute, the masseys were not known for high volume hydraulic pumps Reliable yes but not real flash in the volume department.
Pressure wise the 35 had a 2250 psi relief valve as did the early 135 , later fitted with a 2550 psi valve which can be used on the 35 .
Hydraulic Port ?????????? I need more information.
Regards. Hutch.
