As msseyrider points out these are the two functions of the 2 levers. For any application other than plowing and cultivating the Draft function needs to be disabled and can become very confusing if it is not. Usually putting the Draft lever all the way up (or one extreme or the other depending on the tractor) does that. Read your operator's manual. In effect when using Draft Control the system senses downward pull on the three point and counteracts it. In this way you accomplish nearly constant depth (like when plowing.) Depth and Draft are synonyms. One is position control. Use that for stuff like your Bushhog where you want to maintain a level cut.
Draft control is for soil engaging implements like a plow or cultivator. It raises and lowers like the position control but also maintains a steady load on the tractor.
It will raise or lower the implement as soil conditions and load change so your tractor doesn't get bogged down.
They should be clearly marked.
I'm not 100% sure I understand the question but offer this comment: Yes, when you select a spot between the two Draft lever extremes, that spot determines & adjusts the sensitivity of the Draft sensing. I just don't know on your tractor which extreme of the Draft lever takes Draft control out of the picture. The operator's manual will clarify that.Thank you, very helpful. I just ordered a copy of the manual. Follow up question on the draft lever. It can be all the way up or down. The travel between the two allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the draft sensor. Hope that makes sense, not sure if I am asking that correctly. There is a range between both which allow you to control the amount of draft?
It's for (I believe) for hydraulic remote. You can use it for the front end loader or a rear implement, dump trailer etc.Thank you, very helpful. I have some studying to do when my manual arrives.
In this picture, does this control hydraulic power to either the front end loader and/or rear lift?
Appreciate everyone’s patience….sorry for all the questions.
