Hi everyone, I just received my first tractor last Sunday and it reminds me of buying a new vehicle and enjoying that new smell inside the cab. Lots of levers and gismos, but I am just taking it slow and doing alot of owners manual reading. I have just over 3 hours on it so far and the :D smile factor is wonderful. Let it snow, Let it snow...

MF RED in MT- please post a pic of your Sims cab! (Wonder if that's applicable to a 2310...)

Thank You! I can still drool, but the very convenient spot I have to park my tractor in won't allow the ROPS to be up. (Nor will it quite fit under garage doors when in the "up" position.:()

Looks like most any cab I could find is going to be in the same situation, i.e., cab roof is about the same height as the ROPS when it's up....

So, it's either back to the "snowsuit" aproach :(, or build a tractor-specific shelter at some point ...

Thanks for the link- I've bookmarked it.

I am lucky to have about 8" extra head room from the top of the garage door to the top of the tractor cab so I can back it in the garage and be ready to plow or blow some snow coming right out of the garage. I know you are not to modify the R.O.P.S., but maybe it could be properly shortened in height a little to meet your needs and just maybe Sims or some other cab manufacturer would be kind to you and build a shorter cab? I do know that there is alot of extra head room inside of my cab. Another idea which might be better would be to modify your garage door height? Good Luck with your research.

I saw a used GC2300 in Claremont this afternoon with a Curtis cab installed so I stopped to measure the cab height. It is 77" from the ground to the top of the cab, and the tractor had R-1 tires which are a bit taller than the other options. That should fit easily through a 7' door, and the cab installs ahead of the ROPS so folding shouldn't be an issue. Wonder if they would just sell the used cab?

Oops, Chuck- the 2310 has the folding ROPS- it's considerably taller than the fixed ROPS on the 2300. (But I ain't givin' up ma backhoe!:D)

Guess I should make a trip down to Clremont soon!

I guess that I was thinking that you could still fold your ROPS with the cab installed, but maybe not. I had that same issue when I had the Kubota BX22.
