I'm starting to have a problem with my massey gc2400. I've noticed that while I'm operating my 2360 snowblower occasionally the tractor will go into neutral on the mid mount selector lever. When it happens, I disengage the pto and put the mid mount selector lever back to the 2000 rpm position and carry on. Anyone have thoughts on this? Chapster

There is a ball detent to keep it in place. Broken spring?

DMW, Thx for the info. I'll look to see if the spring is broke. Thx again.

It may be a fairly involved process. Might want to just bungee the mid PTO selector until nicer weather.
Is ir possible anything is hitting the selector? Coat or leg. If you use chains, do they have enough clearance under the fender to avoid the shift linkage.

I do have chains on the rear and I will check them for proper clearance.
