MF 35 -rear llift arms automatically rise on starting

My problem is that with no load the rear lift arms automatically rise to their highest position when the tractor is started and can only be depressed by turning off the tractor and standing on them. Otherwise, they pick up and hold an implement normally - I'd be grateful for any advice.
Is there a specification plate tucked away in some hidden corner that identifies the year of manufacture and exact model number? I can't find anything and it may have been torn off, fallen off, rusted off or been painted over. If anyone could identify it from the following numbers I'd be doubly grateful.
On the engine block/crankcase - CKN1842
On the gearbox housing - 894 682 M6
On the diff/hydraulic housing - 897 719 M7

My old ford 8N did the same thing. I just got a MF 231 which is basically the same as the 135. I would lower your draft control and see if that helps.

Must be nice living in Gods country, I am still here in Texas. My granddad, Lowell F. Wilkinson, cleared much of Australia for the King Ranch along time ago. I have been trying to get down there for a long time.

I was born and brought up in scotland ,migrating to Western Australia in the early seventies ,best place in the world to live , anyway the king ranch ,I remember when i was around 8 /10 years old and this american company came over to scotland and bought up all the not so good mountain cattle type ,or should i say mountain goat country ,they built great big american style cow sheds to shelter the cattle in winter and i remember like it was yesterday these cows with horns that were about eight feet across never seen anything like it there were people coming from everywhere to see them .
sadly I think the company went bad after about ten years The country was not good enough for cows .
Thats my story about "The Great Glen Ranch "as it was called.
