I recently bought a '60s model 35 with the continental z134 engine, the clutch, which worked okay at first, no longer disengages fully. I have to turn off the engine to get it out of gear or to stop the tractor. I have'nt heard any noises which would indicate a bad throwout bearing. The manual says that an adjustment can be made by removing the clutch pedal shaft and turning an adjuster inside the gear housing with a long screwdriver. Does anyone know if this adjustment would work or will i have to split the tractor to get at the pressure plates and throwout bearings?
Thanks
