Have a warning light on dash think it is tranmission light what might be causes

Start with oil level and clogged filters. Next is sensors and wiring. Presume you have the 32 speed?

second light from right beside handbrake light on bottom row filters ok oil pressure ok want to know what light is for & what controls it
