MF 245 lift operation

A friend was cleaning up a piece of land with his 245 when while backing up, a limb kicked up and contacted the lift controls. From what he told me, it broke the control handle off of the lift and mangled it up some. He says he straightened and welded it back together, but now his lift only works with the draft control.

I have little to none experience with Masseys, but told him I'd take a look at it. Figured I'd give you guys a chance to give me some preliminary items to check if you could.

It sounds like an internal linkage on the position control has been jolted loose. I think you will need to open things up. If you don't have a manual, get one first.
