MF 231 Replacing Power Steering

I have a MF 231 that has between 1400 and 1500 hours on it. The power steering needs to be replaced. My question...is replacing the power steering worth it on the tractor with this many hours? is it a pain to replace the power steering?

1500 hours is very low hours for a utility tractor. It is suprising that the power steering "needs to be replaced," and more information would be helpful.

Has the pump failed?

In any event, it would seem that it would be cost effective to repair a tractor with only 1500 hours unless other major problems exist.
