MF 231,few questions.

Went to look at the MF 231 advertised locally.
First thing is,the loader is not the original type loader(232 loader) it is some sort of industrial loader.No numbers or plates to ID it.
This isn't a big deal really,just would be nice if it was the right loader.

Second is,the control valve is messed up,I think the issue might be becuse this tractor didn't originally have a loader and it was plumbed wrong from the get go.
What happens is when you lift the bucket,the 3ph lift goes up too.
I think this could be fixed with a new control valve and maybe plumbed correctly.

Third is tires,has one brand new rear,and one that needs to be recycled...The fronts are also junk.
Did a little pricing online,around $300 for the rear tire.$120 or so for the fronts each.

Fourth issue is the PTO/clutch, took it out into his field and pushed in the clutch but couldn't get the PTO to stop turning.
This is the biggest potential problem.

Asking $6000,comes with an old ragged out 6' bushhog and did a little discussing and he is willing to add a Leinbach auger.

So...anyone got any ideas on the various issues?

Talked to a tractor repair place,guy is going to go look at it with me this afternoon hopefully.
He thinks the clutch might just be adjustment,hopefully it is.
Loader control we will see what he has to say.

Thinking somewhere around $5000 with the mower and auger,needing tires will make it a hard sell.

Alright,well the mechanic didn't think too much at all of the 231.

He said IF he wanted to buy it,he wouldn't pay more then $3000,thought the loader was all but useless,and that hopefully the hydraulic pump hadn't been damaged by the rigged up system for the loader...

So...still looking.
