I'm confident someone will go off if we start talking about the dreaded modified ROPS. (Wonder where people expect you to find an UNMODIFIED ROPS for tractors that were made BEFORE ROPS came along, WITHOUT going to expensive aftermarket versions?)

Excuse my ranting.

I'm about 70% sure that a ROPS from a "200" series (i.e. 240, 255, 265, 275, ect) will fit with minimal re-work required. (4 holes may need to be enlarged/slotted a bit) Might be worth looking for one. Those tractors were made late 70's and on into the 80's. ROPS were more common than earlier years. You MIGHT find one in a salvage yard. ROPS from "thousand series" Fords may work with minimal mods too.

Bare-Co lists the 35 and 135 as having the same ROPS. You could do some measuring, but I think that the 202 and 35 had the same axles.

Has anyone checked lately to see if MF still has the discounted ROPS? Does anyone know what Bare-Co or MF charges for the 135 ROPS?

Just a few weeks ago, I checked on any deals through Massey on a ROPS for my 150. AGCO and Univ. of Ky program picked up some cost. Still outrageously expensive and it was an aftermarket ROPS. Luckily I found a good used o.e.m. ROPS.

Unit prices aren't too bad on several aftermarket ROPS. It's when they start licking stamps to mail it to you that things go off axis. Shipping to your front door can exceed cost of ROPS in some cases.

That is where purchasing it from a MF dealer comes up much better than most other sellers. For those that don't know, if you don't need the part etc over night and can wait up to a week, the freight is free on the regular stock order. Some dealers have this order once a week and some have it two times a week.

Last July Bare-Co's dealer in WA quoted about $500 for a MF-135 ROPS including delivery to my No. CA location. Note: Bare-Co's ROPS appear to be a bolt-together design. You may prefer a welded ROPS.

MF Dealer quoted me $1,000 plus shipping. Wanted me to pre-pay and would no assure it would even fit. NOOOOOTTTTTT

I ended up going with a Aussie model $450 plus shipping. Not too bad
