Goodmorning,
My former pseudo (EuroYanmar) does not longer work on the forum and nobody answer to my mails. I suspect Muhammad Chishti gave up with our forum. And yes I am still. silver member 😄.
I am opening this thread as a new owner of an Iseki TM4270, which is an european clone of the US Massey 1M25.
I thought folks in US may be interested in knowing rhe few differences between those machines (ROPS models)
1) On the Iseki the colours are blue and black. On the Massey they are red and grey.
2) On the Iseki the brake pedal is above the HST pedals. On the Massey it is located on the tractor left side.
3) On the Iseki there is a selector to engage the PTO in 3 different ways. This selector is missing on the US Massey.
4) on the US Massey the loader joystick is integrated.
5) on the Iseki it is missing. No way to order it as an option.
6) The Iseki has got a registration plate to be street legal The US Massey has got the slow vehicle sign.
Both Massey 1M25 and Iseki TM4270 are available in Europe but they have exactly the same equipment. The Massey is more expensive than the Iseki as Massey buy it from Iseki who built both.

Very cool seeing the differences, and it has me wondering why the difference in PTO selector, brake position, and loader controls. Are these market preferences based on where the machines carry their highest sales?

Hi tacticalturnip, here are the answers :
The three way PTO selector work as following :
First position : the Pto is always working
Second position : the PTO works only if the tractor goes forward and stops if it is moving backwards.
Third position : the Pto is slowly engaged. This is a very useful feature when when the driven tool has a high inertia. For us it is essential as we use mostly flail mowers. IMHO it is missing on the US models to compensate the joystick cost essential in US where most tractors are sold with FEL.
About the brake pedal position I have good reasons to suspect it is a question of compatibility with the joystick loader valve. If the brake is on the right hand side, the joystick cannot be mounted, so, in US the brake pedal is on the left had side.

And three more pics that are of some interest . The first one is an Iseki TM4270 hydro with 27 HP engine and rear ROPS. The second is an Iseki TM4230 meca. This last one has got a central ROPS and a 23 HP engine. Both are without DPF, just like in US.

Here is the rear of the tractor. Notice the license plate and the Harbour freight quick hitch, rather tricky to adapt with an hydraulic top link on the MF1M25 aka Iseki TM42 series
