There great tractors :D :D :D

Just got to get used to driving something a bit less refined:p

Seriously, most of the MF 100 series was pretty stable and problem free.

We have a MF135 and a 165 and they are the some of the most reliable tractors ever.

Not a lot of particular 185 experience from me because I have never seen a 185 but I'm sure FarmWithJunk will know more about them in.

It looks in quite good condition... maybe could do with a repaint.

Does it have multipower? The little lever on the left hand side that lets you change speed without clutching.

Multipower can be tempermental and be very hard, complicated and expesive to fix it if has not been well looked after.

3,500 hours isn't very much for these tractors so it does not sound like it has been worked very hard.

You might have already but it might be worth while to change all the filters and fluids for peace of mind. They might not have been done for a while.

One problem you sometimes get with these tractors is the gear lever getting stuck in reverse when it gets a bit worn. Always seems to happen with new operators when they haven't learnt the layout of the gearbox yet. It it happens it is an easy fix though.

I like the roll bar on it. It will make it a lot safer to use.

Make sure you post pictures of the front blade when you have finished it :)

Looks like a strong setup you are making.

How are you going to lift the blade. Are you going to use the onbaord hydraulics or are you going to put on a new pump tank etc.

What are you going to do with the 'dozer' when you have build it. I wander how it will do without 4WD.

will be picking up a 3" bore/12" stroke cyl on friday.will be using the remotes to lift lower. there is no angle tilt adjustments.8' wide 28" tall.take the cutting edge off (16g cat grader used from work) and you have a stick rake.may remove the front weight . main use will be clearing small timber.pushing firebreakes.

Ben,
I like it! Totally off of the subject, what kind of tree is that next to the tractor? It's very pretty.
