My MF 165. 1964 year has developed an oil leak from what appears to be a vent hole in the bottom of the cast housing near where the motor connects to the transmission. The oil is engine oil and I suspect the seal at the rear of the engine needs attention. I would appreciate any comments on how to proceed with this issue.
If the seal needs replacing I am sure I must remove the front end loader first and this is going to be a major job. The loader is a MF model 235 (yes, that is the correct number) and has more connection points than I can count, starting at the engine block, the lower body housing and ending at the rear axle housing. Any suggestions on how to proceed to remove the loader safely would be appreciated. Thanks.
