I have been reasearching and have come up with these 2 tractors. I can get the MF 1428 for 14,500 with the FEL. I have not gotten a quote on the ck300. Any advice would be helpful and what would be a good price for either one of these tractors.

Upper Valley Tractor is in your neck of the woods. They have given me the lowest quote in my search which is about a month old. A quote from them is well over $1,500 less than his competitors and a nice guy to talk to to boot. I don't think the 1428 is a comparable machine IMHO and two HP less to start. Good luck

I don't know alot about the 1428, I presume it is a 28 hp tractor. Reading the articles in this forum over the past months I see there is quite a price difference on tractors depending on location. I live in Virginia and can tell you what the price for the CK30 is down here. The Ck30 I just purchased has FEL with R4 industrial tires and manual shuttle transmission. The price was 14.650.00 As far as which tractor to purchase, I can only tell you about my experiences. I suggest you go look and compare the two tractors, I think you will be able to see a heck of a difference between the two. If the price structures are the same up there as down here, than there is not a big difference in price. I choose the CK30 because after looking at so many models and checking out dealer support and parts availability they were hands down the best investment for my dollar.

I just got a quote on the ck30 hydro demo for 15.5. It seems higher that others i have seen for this area of the country. Is this just a product of supply and demand in the area(New england).

$15,500 ck30 fel is the quote(lowest) I got as well. Three other Kioti dealers weren't even close to that.

Welcome to TBN.
You don't say what you need to do with the tractor, but lets just say you've decided that at least 28 HP will do what you need.
The CK30 has a little higher HP, offers telescoping hitch arms and stabilizers where the Massey offers fixed arms and turnbuckle sway chains.
The CK30 will be much easier to hook up implements to.
If you want a mid mount mower (MMM), the Massey would be the better choice as they list the mid and rear PTOs as standard, the CK30 mid PTO is an option, and the MMM is not ready yet, last I heard.
You also don't say whether you're quote was for the 1428 with HST or manual transmission. The HST (like an automatic) is usually a bit higher than the shuttle shift manual tractors.
The CK30 should quote out with FEL from between about $14,500 and $15,500 depending on the area in which you're looking. Shipping and operating costs can be much different in some parts of the country, thus the pricing differences.
Find the one that's comfortable for you, making sure you're comparing feature for feature, and what's extra as an option.
Another plus for the CK30 is the 50 amp alternator, in case you want to add a lot of extra lighting, and it weighs a good bit more than the Massey which helps with putting the power to the ground. Also, the CK30's hydraulic flow is higher, making for faster loader operation.
The two tractors are not really comparable, but close enough to compare. It's up to you as to which is right for you, and I don't think you'd regreat either of them.
