Hi Fellow Fergie Fans (FFF).

I hope someone can help.
After some rotary hoeing I stopped for a break & then the thing wouldn't start again. (first time that ever happened).
The most likely reason is a loose wire near the starter motor and I'm not certain where it should be connected to.
Some other wires that are behind the dash also aren't connected.
I guess wiring can be different between model variations and modifications over the years - but I'm hoping someone might have a starter motor setup similar to mine and have some clear directions.
HELP!!! Fergy 135 not Starting - YouTube

If you have a minute to check out the video I would appreciate if you're sure you have an answer.
I have my own guesses but I don't want to stick any wires in the wrong place and burn anything out.

Thanks for taking the time to look anyway.

Sam

G'day Sam it looks like a homemade ignition setup but if you have a test light then you should be able to follow it along. It should go something like positive battery to your ign switch then to your push button ( I assume this is what you use to start it ) from your push button it then should go to the neutral safety switch ( the two wires joined together ) then to the push on terminal at the starter solenoid ( check here first for power when trying to start if no good then work your way through the system ). So with your test light put your lead to earth on the battery and you should have power to one side of the toggle switch ( ign switch ) turn on and you should have power on the other terminal, then you should have power to one side of your push button, push the button and you should have power on the other terminal , should then have power to the two wires joined on top of the transmission, then power to the push on terminal at the starter.
Check your battery terminals are nice and clean ( take them off and clean ) and also check the earth lead where it is bolted to the tractor is clean and tight, I'm not sure where thee smaller lead at the starter is supposed to go bit hard to tell from the footage what is on the inside of the solenoid.
Hope this helps

Jon
