Hi All
Im putting a new PTO clutch into my 5th hand 135 because the PTO clutch wouldn't release. My problems start with the clutch adjusting screws on the clutch release levers. My manual says they should be 67 to 69mm from the spacer ring segments, If I extend them fully I can only get them to about 62mm from the spacer ring. They are about 4mm out from the clutch housing.
To get them further out Ive been advised to put a washer under the 6 bolts, against the flywheel under the clutch assembly to make the clutch release levers stick out more.
Does this make sense? and is it a good idea or is it Ok if I leave the "fingers" so far in - I'm worried I wont have enough travel and will grind the PTO clutch plate when I push the pedal all the way in.
The 2nd part
The bolt that holds the clutch bearing shaft to the "forks" (not sure what its called - it pushes the clutch bearing forward) had sheared, I'm not sure if this was an existing issue, or if its something I did when i put it back together.
Ive followed the manual as much as possible except the fingers above, the whole thing went back together really easily with no force, just a bit of fiddling, turning the motor and pto by hand to get the threads lined up.
