Kubota 7500
Hello,

I'm looking for recomendations these new three point mounteded snow blowers:

Meteor 60" with shoes-$2300.00

New this year Landpride 64" with shoes $2700.00 with 0% financing from Kubota.

The Meteor would be a better fit for the tractor Kubota B7500 HSD, with 16hp at the pto, but the 0% is a great deal which I can't get with the Meteor. Money is tight this year.

Any recomendations?

Thanks,
Ray

Are you sure that is a Landpride? I didn't think they made blowers. Here in Canada at least the Kubota blowers are made by Rad in Quebec. They looked like good blowers.

I have had a MK Martin Meteor SB68 for 5 years and have been happy with it. I am going with a bigger tractor and have ordered a 75" Meteor pull type blower. My Kubota dealer does not carry the Kubota blowers and carries the MK Martin Meteor ones instead. I think in the size I was looking - 74-75", the Meteor was more heavy duty than the Rad. I suspect both are good blowers.

In my experience the Menonites (MK Martin) make good blowers but their paint job leaves a bit to be desired. The Rad's paint job was better. Not much of a deal if you are storing it indoors though.

If 60 inches cover your tracks, go for the Meteor. Save a few bucks.

I have a 64" Frontier (RAD) with 20pto/hp. I have no problem clearing the full 64 inches, even in storms up to 18" or so. In fact, the only way I could bog the tractor down was going full bore into a frozen bank.

Regardless of brand, you will love a blower and tractor combo.

I quickly compared the Meteor 60" blower with a 64" Landpride blower yesterday. The frame, blower and front auger all appeared to be of similar construction. Same goes for auger drive chain - similar size.

I priced two meteor sizes and the landpride - all with hydraulic spout and shoes. IIRC here are the numbers I got: 60" Met $2275....66" Met $2475...64" LP $3075. Given the prices......I think were going with the 66" Meteor on a 3032 JD tractor.

I just got a quote from the distributor 66" Meteor ~2900, maybe when I talk to the dealer I can get them down to this price that is with manual chute

I looked at a bunch of brands before buying my Blizzard 54" blower a couple of years ago. It is made by RAD in Canada who also make the JD Frontier blowers, and the Kubota front mount blowers, etc. I think the construction is a bit better than most of the ones I looked at, and it had the smoothest chute rotation of any that I tried, and since I'm always using that feature, that was an important consideration. It will try really hard to eat anything you get close to, but other than that it has worked out very well for me. The price was about middle of the road, and I think I paid $2400 for it delivered with the extra shear pins, and do dads that I got at the same time.

I have tried to find the Blizzard site, does anyone know what it is?

I believe Blizzard is mfg'd by RAD Industries in CA. Found this website, but it's under construction. Rad Technologies
