Is that grease similar to john deere's corn head grease?

Bigtiller: I thought you were spoofen me about corn head grease, so I looked it up. Found a video of it in a running gear box, cover off, and it sure looks like the same stuff. I will pick up a tube next time I am near the JD dealer. It's a lot cheaper! Thanks for the tip, bigtiller. 445A

Picked up a tube of corn head grease, for less than $4 at the JD dealer. I haven't used it, but I did some comparing. Both the Bentonite and the CHG have about the same viscosity. The CHG is green, oh that's right, it's John Deere "official" green. The Bentonite is a lite tan/brown color and has very little petroleum smell, unlike the CHG which has a strong odor. I'll try the CHG in some different applications. I expect it will be just fine, and again, is a lot cheaper. Thanks again for the tip, bigtiller.:thumbsup: 445A
