Hello Everyone,

I am new here and was wondering if anyone knows the electronic path a TYM T273 tractor takes when trying to start it? For example, when key is turned on and after Glow Plug relay engages, then disengages upon correct timer sequence, does it reengage when the key is turned to start? Mine does so I can only assume it is designed to reengage with key on start position to keep glow plugs hot until it is released upon starting. Additionally, I need to find out some way to trace the circuit path or trouble shoot why the Relay is not getting DC B+ to the small terminal on the starter relay. Starter is OK as I tested it with jumper from Direct Battery B+ lead to the small Solenoid Ignition Terminal. Switch is new and checked out OK, however still NO B+ power to the small Solenoid Terminal with switch in START POSITION. Schematic does not offer a clear picture of what transpires in circuit. I cannot find any additional Safety Switches that are preventing it from allowing the Start Relay to engage which also is not engaging. I cannot find any internal switches for brakes, forward/ backward foot controls, No seat switches and now at a loss . Can anyone help? Thank you very much .....MD

Welcome to the forum!

I'm going to move this thread over to our TYM section.

Sounds like your issue is the brake switch. Your tractor will not start unless the brake pedal is depressed. The wiring circuit for the starting system goes through this switch. TYM brake switches are know for failing. Your switch should have 4 wires going into it. Hope this helps.
