- Old Massey, new-to-us McCormick CX 100
Hello fellow tractor by net forum members,
Name’s Tom, and I’m brand new to this board! Please let me know if this post belongs somewhere else or breaks the rules.
It so happens my dad got a cheap working McCormick CX100 that eats tires cause the 4WD is always on. We took a quick look at the tractor and it appears to us that the issue might be caused - shocker - by what we think is the 2/4WD selector being wired to nothing at all. We’re now trying to find out how to wire the thing, with which gauge, and to where, but we haven’t been able to find much on it.
The switch can be found attached.
Does any of you tractor veterans have any leads as to how get this issue fixed? We’d rather, of course, do it ourselves as mechanics round here aren’t quite up to snuff.
Thank you all beforehand,
Tom
