Max 28xl tiller

Hiya's TBN! After checking out several color's of tractors over the last few weeks, I've decided the Mahindra Max 28xl hst is the best fit for my needs. The problem I'm having is trying to figure out what size tiller is appropriate for this model. The Mahindra branded (Kodiak made) tiller comes in a 48 and a 60", with the dealer suggesting the 48 inch. I'd like for the tiller to cover my tire tracks and I don't think the 48" will cut it. I also checked with Kodiak and their tillers have no offset or side shift available. So, anyone knowledgeable with this tractor, what size tiller are you using? Will the Max 28 support a 60 inch tiller? Thanks for the advice:thumbsup:

It will run a 60" Tiller, no problem.

Bought my Max 28xl last year and got the 48" tiller, works great wish I had got the 60".

Thanks for the input guys. I persuaded the dealer to change the tiller to a 60". So far, the deal stands at Max28xl with hst, fel, 60" midmount mower, 60" tiller and matched another dealers quote which knocks off @$650. So we are down to $22,300 out the door with tax included. I I feel like negotiations are going well, I just wish there was a way of knowing how much the dealer is making off of the deal.

I was somewhere in that neighborhood (without consulting the paperwork) for my 28 with the fel, hst, and backhoe and insurance. from what I recall, the 'hoe is a pricey addition, and the MMM was somewhere around 2k as well.

I bought mine last year 28xl fel, mmm, backhioe with thumb, tiller, box blade and insurance for just under $23,000.

I had alone of a friends 72" tiller the other day to till in a front lawn. My Max 28 handled it with no problems. The lawn was all rocks the size of grapefruit.

Hey Shawn, I just bought the same package! Haven't used the tiller yet but I think it will do fine. I didn't realize it didn't have a suspension seat and don't know if that's even an option. Sure would like one if its available. Anyone know?

Not sure if it's an option from Mahindra for the Max 28XL, but if not this Michigan Seat Highback Suspension Seat, Model# V-5300 | Suspension Seats| Northern Tool + Equipment is one of the nicest suspension seats available.

I have not had the need for a suspension seat yet. I use the my 48" tiller and backhoe with my Max28 HST. I live in Northern CA where the tiller kicks up lots of rocks. If the backhoe is ordered, the seat is swapped out for a "trick" swivel seat.
