1 Dry empty Beer can weighs 15 Kilograms.

How many cans at .45c a pound will it take to get a $2000 down payment on a newer pick up????

Will I kill my liver first or just die of old age ??

Whether you die or kill your liver depends on how much beer you can afford, consume and how your system processes the alcohol. But to answer your question my guess it would take about 13,439.76 cans. It would be cheaper to skip a few beers to save up the 2K down payment.

That is using your figures. However, they are way off.

1 beer can does not weigh 15 Kg. That's 2.2 lbs.
Also, aluminum is bringing more than .45 cents (which is equivalent to $0.0045) / lb.

Now, by correcting the numbers:

There are approximately 33 cans / lb. If each lb. brings 45 cents, then it is 1.36 cents per can.
You need 200,000 cents, so you need 146,667 cans.

Yeah, you're gonna need some help.

I beleive you mean to say a empty 12 oz. can weights 15 grams.(not kilograms).

At .45 a pound he'd need 4,444.4444444 pounds to have $2000.
Rounding off the pounds to 4,444.444 = about 201,596.40 kg.
201,596.40kg / 15 kg per can = 13,439.76 cans

fordmantpw is correct about the can weight being gram instead of kg. I just went by the OP's info

so multiply my original can number X 1000 = 13,439,760 cans
