I am looking into buying a material pick-up system for my 2320 with a 54D deck. Does anyone out there have any experience with either a Deere system or another make?

The Deere 14 bushel (I think) 3 bag system works well but fills up very fast with 62D deck. I bagged leaves mostly when I had mine. I found that mowing thru the material first and then bagging seems to work best.

You may want to consider a Cyclone Rake or a Trac Vac system.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
I have the Cyclone Rake and it works really well for me, clearing leaves in the fall on about 3 1/2 acres with over 80 trees.
Using with a JD 2320 and 62D MMM.
Also works well if the lawn gets too long between mowings to eliminate the windows. Haven't had that problem this year due to the dry conditions in North Texas.

I have used a JD Lawn sweeper for 3 years now and have had very good results. You may have to empty it more often but it does a great job picking up grass clippings, sand gravel, even small stones in the spring from the side of the driveway.

I have the 54" deck with the power flow bagger on it. We started with the 2 bag system. We upgradded to the cart, I can't remember the number but it is the slickest deal out there. The cart attaches solid to the tractor and the wheels under the cart are crazy wheels which means the trailer follows the tractor exactly. When you back up since the attachment is solid there is no chance of jackknifing. The cart with the included cover is rated to hold about 17 bushels of material, then to dump you just back up to where you want to dump and pull the handle, it lifts the back of the cover up and allows the box to tilt back. Once it is empty just pull ahead, lower the box and push the handle back and you are ready to go again.

Hope this helps,

Todd

I was in the same place one year ago looking to replace a sweeper and went with the JD MCS for my 2210 with 62" deck and have loved the performance of the combo. I might mow more frequently (every five days) than others simply because I like the look of a nicely groomed lawn. I have had no clogging problems with the bagger and there's been minimal impact on fuel consumption. I love being able to do the bagging and mowing at the same time and the ability to operate without a trailer. As others have said my sweeper worked great but I had to do more driving to get everything done. I my mind it was worth the investment and the installation isn't too bad...just watch your head getting up :-(
