My Father who is almost 80 years old.
Three years ago bought his very first "new tractor"
A massey ferguson 2615 4x4 with a 250 loader.
from the massey dealer in eldon mo.
Dennis who owns the dealership, has taken EXCELLENT care of my Dad and his tractor.
My Dad had most of the money to buy the tractor, but not all of it. Pops old allis D15 was pretty much wore out. He had a zero credit rating. .pop runs on cash. No credit score of any kind.
Dennis ran the tractor through in his name personally. And pop made the last few pmts directly to Dennis.
All services to the tractor , Dennis drives the 30 miles. Changes oil and filters. Charges pop for the oil and filters only.
talk about dealer support!
My dad running cow calfs on 160 acres..
and still cutting ten cord of wood each year.
Mom says, she's so glad i talked him into buying a new tractor. He always has a smile on his face when out messing about on his little massey.
Only thing thats ever went wrong with it..
He ran outta fuel.. of course, Dennis came over and got him going again.
Pop says.. that four wheel drive is really something! !
I just got off the phone with my Dad..
and yes.. he was telling me about checking the cows on his little massey. .
Pop never had much money. But he sure enjoying the simplest things.
just thoughts i would pass on that story. And a big thanks to Dennis and a fantastic dealership.
My mom and Dad just love their little tractor.

That is a great story. I have a dad like that too. He is 75 and still cutting/splitting and burning. My son and I go over and help him split about once a month. I think he would just pack it in if he couldn't cut and split woodl. He has an 8n Ford which he still uses. When he can no longer use it I plan to switch him tractors if he could run mine. I already offered to switch him tractors and he looked at me like I was crazy because he already had a tractor. Those old guys were made tough.

Ha!
Yes, pop is one tuff ol'boy...
I grew up on the farm. Me brothers and sisters had to work. We seemed to do everything the hard way..lol.
We had a team of Belgium mules. Jack and jake.. a farmall H .
farmed plum up into the late 70s with the mules.
the H got traded for a M .. and somewhere along, pop got the D15 Allis...
many years go by....
but now with his little massey and the Loader.. he is/was soooooo impressed with the 4x4 ... he is a quiet man. Don't talk very much... but you mention the cows, or his little massey. . Then he'll talk...lol
