I have a 1986 massey ferguson , mf 1020 4 x 4 with a front end loader and hydrostatic tranny. I have lost all hydraulic lift at both the laoder and the three point hitch and lost the power steering. Nothing completely dead. The hydrostatic transmission is operating ok.
I really don't know where to start with this. If I understand correctly this thing has a hydraulic pump for circulation that is mounted on the left side/front of the engine. i assume that the pressure comes from the hydrostatic transmission. Is this correct? If so i'm baffled because the transmission is operating normally.
Does anyone out there have any ideas about where I should start with the trouble shooting on this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
