Massey Ferguson Tracotr sales World Stats??

Hey,

I am in need of some help here. Where can I find tractor sales statistics, world stats and any other? I am having a friendly dispute with someone. I said that MF is the world sales leader, pretty sure above 60HP anyway, and no one will believe me? ( mostly Deeroids and CNH fanatics.... )

I dont know how to access this info without somekind of dealer status.

I know I have seen on the AGCO website that they claim the Massey Fergusen as best selling tractor brand worldwide. I believe this is true as from what I understand they own the market in many area such as South America. Not sure where to get stats though. The local AGCO dealer says that AGCO Corp is # 3 world wide behind John Deere and CNH as far as total equipment sales. Said all three are pretty close, but John Deere tops the sales chart as far as total af equipment sales. I would imagine items like Skid steers and Backhoes really give the Deere and CNH quite an advantage for overall sales.
I have no real first hand knowledge of this, just passing on what I have heard or read.

MF/AGCO brand is the world leader in number of tractors sold. They are number 3 in number of total units and number 3 in dollars of sales. JD and CNH are 1 & 2 respectively in units and dollars. Kubota, Mahindra, etc... it is my understanding they lag far behind in all 3 categories.

I suppose if India is the largest tractor market in the world, then it looks like Mahindra sells the most.

That is what I have read and heard. A company like Mahindra might be # 1 in India, but lack sales globaly.
Massey Fergusen is popular all over the world including India.

I guess it depends on who you ask, since everyone claims to be the largest. However, according to Bill, Mahindra is the third largest tractor manufacturer in the world with sales of nearly 85,000 units annually in 10 countries. This places them ahead of John Deere & Kubota. In India, Mahindra has been the number one selling brand since 1983.

You have to include the "under 60 HP" models to get MF in the #1 spot. They sell a ton of those smaller models in 3rd world countries.

Every brand can manipulate sale figures and wording to claim some share of the big prize. It seems that AGCO has taken the MF banner and ran with it.

Deere and CNH might sell more total AG products, handle more financing, more construction equipment, more lawn mowers, and be the leaders of the US market. But every BELIEVABLE stat I read shows MF selling more TRACTORS world-wide than anyone else.

You have to include the "under 60 HP" models to get MF in the #1 spot. They sell a ton of those smaller models in 3rd world countries. 
Every manufacture includes "under 60 HP" models in their total sales figures. If it is a tractor it should be included. Lawn mowers don't get included in tractor sales.
The main tractor that Massey sells in third world controls is the 400 series.
