My GC 2610 has been a fine overall performer. However the tachometer has the typical cold weather screeching, to the point that I disconnect it for the colder weather.
AutoMeter makes a diesel tachometer that has a probe that straps onto the alternator, and somehow picks up enough signal to make the tachometer work.
Has anyone here installed the AutoMeter 2888 diesel tach on one of the Massey GC models (denso alternator on mine).
If you did, does it work properly? They are not cheap, and therefore I would like to know if they work with the GC setup before I order one.
Thanks in advance.
