Massey Ferguson 65 Hydraulic Valve questions

Hello,

I have a 65 torn down in the shop that I am tinkering on. The question of the day is on the hydraulics. It has a 2 spool valve on it and I was hoping someone had a copy of a manual for it, parts and or operators. It is not a Massey as in the manual but a aftermarket, maybe a Vapormatic. The only thing I find on it is VAP but nothing else on it.

Is anything wrong with your valve? .

The center valve is frozen and the left one (looking down from the seat) leaks. I just got the tractor running last night and don't know much on it yet. I was hoping to find information on the valve before opening it up. Should be just some o-rings to replace. I know it is not the standard valve.

it is a vap control valve you can pull the caps and spools and replace the o-rings but from the sounds of it you may need another valve. if you want a manual go to SSB Farm Tractor Parts - Antique Tractor Manuals - Implements - Toy Pedal Tractors & More or for a valve www.best-used-tractors-.com search A-VFG1005 they are cheap aftermarket vap valves. i personally would go to www.tractorpartsinc.com/massey_ferguson_hydraulic_valve_kits_534_ctghtm. the valve number is 19833A92 it is for a mf65 a 3 spool valve. i didn't see any available used or aftermarket parts for that particular valve, and i doubt any repair shop will be able to repair your old one if the spool is frozen or if there is a lot of scoring.

if you're doing a restoration and want to keep it all original, i have seen some guys go to great lengths and expense to do so, then the repair shop after an evaluation can chrome up your spools and od hone them and hone your bores to fit. if it is too bad the second valve i mentioned looks more like the original valve than the cheaper ones. finding a used one let alone a viable used one may be difficult. before you do any thing take a look at what you have. on an aside the threads i posted will get you to where you're going using the main body of the address for some reason the rest of the address didn't post the same as i typed them.

If you just want a functional valve with out all the other headaches, such as finding, rebuilding, re-honing, searching, then why not consider this valve.

yep jj those are pretty good valves if that's all he's lookin to do i've used those particular ones with good success

I pulled the valve off and tore it down. The center spool freed up and replacing the o-rings stopped the leaks. Would anyone have the parts sheet for this or instructions?
