Massey Ferguson 6190 with Hydraulic problems

Hi All,

My MF6190 with Dynashift has been showing the hydraulic light indicator on the dashboard, plus the reverse shuttle is no longer engaged. The Tractor will move forward but will not go into reverse and I have noticed that the dynashift light on the dashboard are on. The dynashift has four (4) range...A - D,and three (3) of the range B - D are always on now. Could the Hydraulic pump be the problem?......... maybe there is not enough pressure in the system? I need your help in figuring this problem out. I bought this tractor used four (4) months now and has not gotten a minute work out of it yet.

The only way to go is to let a MF dealer read out the errror codes, starting to change parts randomly will be very expensive.
But the ting you can check is the wiring and particularly the ground cables.

I 2nd what Agvg says. You may get lucky and only have to replace a worn contact on the shuttle or dynashift switch or it could be major. Until you see the error codes you just don't know.
