Greetings,
New to forum and tractors. Industrial MF40 cira 1995 with FEL, 3 point set up, PTO. Bought from farmer's widow. All she knew about the tractor was she wanted it out of her sight, so I purchased it as a project and an intro to mechanics (current knowledge: none).
What I would like to know is basics:
- how much oil does it hold
- how much diesel
- do the hydraulics hold pressure, if so, how do I change hoses without losing
fluid
- immediate problem is ball joints of steering linkage need new grommets (?); one ball falls out,the other will soon; are these available generic of only from MF?

Appreciate any tips or insights. I'm sure to be a frequent reader, if not poster.
