Massey Ferguson 35

Have a massey Ferguson 35 petrol. It use to start really easy , but restored the body and now have two spare wires that come out of the gearbox under the dash area. Unsure were thy connect. Also would they stop it from starting

My guess is it's the starter safety switch that's closed when the gearshift is in neutral (i.e. the starter will not turn unless you put the gearshift in neutral). It's connected in series with the 6V or 12V wire that goes to the starter solenoid. My 1964 MF135 has this switch. I had to replace that switch soon after I bought the 135 in July 2006--a relatively inexpensive part from my local MF dealer.
