Massey Ferguson 2850M delivered last Sunday

Took delivery on New Massey 2850M Hydro Cab Sunday, it sure is Purdy! spent the following day fabricating a hopefully formidable grill guard as I am installing a grapple It only takes one mishap to cost possibly thousands these days to the front of the tractor. Grapple is temporarily running off the factory wet lines at the rear. Third function is in the works with the dealer as is the CB85 sub framed backhoe. Love new toys! that will be put to work in the near future. I will need to play with it to get an early evaluation. Also I'm a new member to this website, so bare with me.

As requested some PICS hopefully they will download to this sight, not too computer literate. LOL Was outside playing today, six ft. Bush Hog, tractor has soft start PTO, very nice. I cut through some moderate grasses, nothing to tough and it cut like butter with rpm's around 2400, the manual says to run the tier 4's at high rpm's for a cleaner burn and the hydro's run better.

Looks like their top of the line CUT. Does your tractor have hydrostatic trans?
I owned a 4707 and simply loved it, sold it when my farm was sold and miss
that Ferrari red paint.
When I owned a mid size Kubota, local farmers paid no attention.
When I drove my Massey out cutting the roadsides, their trucks all slowed down for a look.

Nice little machine. I used to be a Massey guy. Have owned several. My first recollection of operating a tractor was a MF 35 gasoline. I was 4. My uncle would turn it at the end of the tobacco row and put it in low range. I would steer it to the other end having to stand on the clutch a few times while he and the farm hands cropped tobacco. Not too many years later I was cropping. LOL.

Great Memories!! I have a 5yr old Grandson Whom I will start the Bota 6100 for also engage the trans and walk along side as he can't quite reach the pedals and of course video all the action for playback. At this time, way better than a dirt bike.

I'd like to see more pictures of that grill guard. I got a new 1750M earlier this year, and I need to do something with the grill guard.
