Looking to buy a 55-70 HP utility tractor, 4wd, open station with loader. After looking today the Massey Ferguson 2606 or 2607 look to be the Best Buy for the dollar. Also considering the Kioti 6620 and Kubota M6060 and M7060. Any thoughts, reviews, etc??

The Massey Ferguson 2707 is a great tractor. It is a more basic, no frills tractor, but a reliable workhorse. It is very reasonably priced. The Kioti and Kubuta also great machines. Take dealer support seriously in your decision.

After looking a little more at the tractors at my local dealer I致e almost decided on a 4707 Massey. 4x4, loader, 3rd function on loader. Quoted at 34,500. Any thoughts?

I just bought a 4707. Excellent machine. Very heavily built. Excellent ergonomics. Fit and finish is superb. Best bang for the buck in a 70 hp cab tractor

I think that's a jam up deal on a 4707. You even get a 3rd remote for the FEL with that! This is a new tractor? The lowest quote I could get from 3 different local dealers for a 2607H was $36,575. I like the 2607H, but compared to a 4700 series it's a very basic, smaller/lighter, far less equipped machine. Might just be my local MF dealers are priced higher than others. One of them even had some used 4607 rental units with around 200+ hours on them, and they were trying to get more than what you're get quote for the 4707, and these tractors didn't even have loaders on them.

IMO $34,500 for a 4707 4x4, loader with a 3rd remote tractor is an excellent deal. Out of curiosity would the dealer you're working this deal with be Cain Equipment? They seem to be very popular in north GA, and from what I've seen online have about the best prices of any MF dealer.

Yes it was Cain痴. That price didn稚 include the 3rd function on the loader. But I thought it was a really good deal too. Gonna have to wait til after the new year for tax reasons though

I’m curious if you looked at the LS 6168 (68hp) or MT573 (73hp) tractors.
A cabbed 6168 power shuttle with a lot of standard features (mirrors, rear wiper, extendable links, grill guard, two rear remotes, etc.) should come in at $35k with a little negotiating.

When I was looking last year, I did find the Masseys very nice in the appearance department, but the bang for the buck wasn’t as good as the Korean machines.

The LS 6168 is a very nice tractor, but a MF 4700 is in a different league. Much more tractor! The LS MT573 is more comparable to a MF 4700.

OP, congrats on the new tractor. I think you will be very happy you spent the little extra to jump on up from a 2600 to 4700.
