Massey Ferguson 202 Steering

I am trying to help an older friend with the steering on his 1968 202. It has the required pressure from the pump but the steering seems to get tight after a few minutes of running. Any suggestions on what to look at or procedure would be helpful. Thanks Jon

try jacking up the front of the tractor so that the wheels are of the ground and see if the steering is tight in the king pins maybe need greasing.

try changing the power steering filter. if there is a little water in the system it stands around the filter until pressure builds up , then clings to the filter blocking pressure from getting thru
