Massey Ferguson 1533 windshield broke

My luck, bought a cab tractor last week and was checking it all out the second day I had it. When I started to raise the hood which i had raised a couple of time already the windshield exploded. I dont see anything that caused it unless it is the gap adjustment (pinching) between the hood and windshield. Regardless, now they tell me a new one is $777.00 before seal and installation. Anyone have any advise you could share on replacing one of these tempered glass windshields?

Yes, let the glass shop install it, that way you don’t have to buy another one if something happens installing it.
