2005 MT265B
Hello,

I have a 2005 MT265B with ML30 loader. I recently replaced a leaky hose on the loader cost about $100 from the dealer. Now, 4 other hoses starts to leak and the rest have cracks and looks like they will develop a leak pretty soon. So, I need to replace a dozen or so hoses. Looking online at surplus center and tractor supply, similar hoses cost about $15 (size and length).

Can anyone with the same tractor tell me what type of fitting and thread type on these hoses? How can I find out what type of fitting and thread size? Where's a good source to buy generic hoses online?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Below is a a link to a good thread style chart. Most likely they are either the o-ring face seal type (this company calls theirs For-seal) or the SAE straight thread style that has an o-ring at the base of the threads. Both work very well and have mostly replaced the older JIC37degree and NPT fittings that rely on metal to metal contact to seal.

Once you figure out what style you have you can measure up your hoses and just order what you need from any hose supplier, please be careful in how you measure hose length, different styles measure to different places on the fittings.

Absolutely-- do as suggested above or contact a hydraulic repair shop. I have one nearby, and they've been able to match the dead ones (three in all, so far) that I've brought in. Cost usually less than $30.

The hydraulic hoses on the ML30 loader are 3/8" W/ 1 Female JIC Fitting and 1 Male Boss O-Ring Fitting. These can be ordered online for a tiny fraction the cost from the dealer ($12 vs $85). Hopefully this info will help others.
