Massey Ferguson 1010 Alternator

Hey everybody, I've got a question and I hope you can help. I recently purchased a Massey Ferguson 1010 4x4 used and the alternator has flown apart. I found another one at West KY Tractor Parts off another 1010 but it is larger than the one on it. I think it would fit if I had another bracket. Do you think this would work? By the way I DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THIS STUFF!:confused2:

Check ebay, the 1020 one is the same as the deutz allis 5220 but they are available.

Before spending much money on this you might want to take your unit to a starter / alternator, etc. repair shop and make sure you have an alternator. My 1010 actually has a generator.

Also, some people swap out the generators for GM alternators. There are threads on this somewhere. It could be that's why yours doesn't look the same. It may have been converted to an alternator.
