Massey 88 ignition settings?

Does anybody know what the different
Key ignition settings are for on a Massey
88? There is 3 or 4 different settings
And I'm not sure what they do? Thanks

Is the 88 the gasoline powered?

Yes it is gasoline and I've been having trouble with cold starts just won't fire
And fuel has been spraying out of carb I'm thinking the timing may be out
