I have replaced my old fuel sending unit and gauge on my Massey 165. I replaced it with a 30-240 ohm fuel sending unit and a 30-240 fuel gauge.
The old gauge only had 2 wiring posts. The new gauge has 3 labeled B, T and a ground. The sending unit only has one terminal.
I ran a new wire from the sending unit to the gauge. The gauge currently only reads full all of the time.
I checked the sending unit with an ohm meter and it's working properly.
Anyone have any thoughts? I read somewhere attach a ground wire from the ground terminal on the gauge to the sending unit. There is no ground terminal on the sending unit. Should I attach it to one of the mounting screws?
