Massey 135 seat height and style

Just joined, been shopping for a MF135 and had a question about seat height before going further

There's 2 style seats I see most often.

Bucket type - with seat pad and thin back pad. AND
Arm rest spring tensioner type.

Main question is - does the bucket style seat sit lower than the arm rest style? If so how many inches lower?

I dislike the arm rest style. It feels like I sit so far above the steering wheel and up above the hood.
5'11" and haven't found a bucket seat model that's for sale to sit on.

Welcome to TBN.

I'm thinking the armrest style seats are aftermarket. Mine has the factory bucket seat, and I'm guessing it sits lower than the armrest style because of the way it mounts to the tractor.

Also, I just looked on eBay and there is a bucket for sale right now. I typed in "Massey Ferguson 135 seat" in the search box. (You can always find the pads through a bunch of suppliers on eBay).

I'm 5'11 as well, and when I got my 135 I bought a replacement seat. I hated the replacement seat, I had to bend down to use the controls. IMO if you can get the bucket style seat. Luckily I needed a seat for another tractor, so I put the original seat back on

I just purchased a MF135 (I'll post pictures in the MF antique/classic forum later) this one has a functional suspension seat with the side/rib bolster supports. It actually sits quite comfortable at the lowest setting and the tires at 18 psi. So it will stay for now.
