Bobcat 225
Hi guys,

I have a Bobcat CT225 and am looking at adding a tiller attachment. I have a line on an estate sale at a local farm and they are offering a Maschio (ZAPPATRICE Model Mc 155 weight 330kg, made in 1995) for about $1900 CDN ($1740 USD). I'm wondering:

a) is this a reasonable price for this tiller - it is in good shape
b) is the size workable with my tractor
c) are there any things to look for when I am looking it over prior to purchase
d) do I need a tiller like this - are there better options at a lower price

Thanks - appreciate your help!

Just be sure you can get parts, if you ever need any. My local dealer used to deal in Maschio tillers but he says they closed down their Canadian office and operate all of North America now out of their US office, and he has found that troublesome. As a result he started carrying Celli tillers instead, which is what I ended up with.

I am with Maschio-Gaspardo North America in the US. While it is true that the Canadian division was shut down, it should be known that its stock of parts is kept in a main warehouse in ON and we have machines housed in locations throughout ON and QC. We still have a sales representative employeed by us plus agents, distributors and dealers available to serve you.

Please feel free to ask me any questions, it would be a shame if people did not get a machine they were looking for just because they thought it was no longer available in Canada.

As I understand it Deere tillers are rebadged Maschio tillers, is this correct?

Ah, that is good to know about. We just picked up a 2009 C280. I guess we that means we have an orange Deere in the shed now :)
