I had the same problem and did two things to solve the problem. First, I removed the rod and used a small conical shaped grinding stone on an electric grinder to shape and hone smooth the interior top edge of the tube such that there was no abrupt sharp edge to score the paint. Secondly, I used a small lathe to knurl down the rod a few thousandths where the marker line is located on the rod. I then repainted the marker line with a quality fluorescent epoxy paint. With the sharp edge on the top of the tube removed and the marker stripe below the surface of the rod itself the marker has remained perfect for the past few months.kully said:so I have a kubota m4900 with the la1002 loader and I keep having trouble with the paint staying on the level arm that rides up and down the tube. it keeps comming off , what does everbody use for marking .
