Hello,
I have a tractor that used to have a remote cylinder that operated the belly mounted cultivators (Ford 1710 offset.) The cylinder had a little poppet valve on the rod-end end-cap with a rod that traveled parallel to the cylinder rod and an adjustable tab that would manually trip the poppet valve. From what I can tell, the valve is just check valve that is manually actuated.
So, I guess what I am looking for is a 'manually actuated pilot operated check valve'. And ideally, it would be lever operated, but rather be just a button. I've seen a lot of pilot operated check valves, but those seem to require oil to operate. I'll go take a picture of my friend's tractor and post that in a few minutes...
OK, in the picture below, you can see the rusted rod that travels parallel to the cylinder rod. The thumb screw is the tab that actuates the silvery tab that is in the middle of the picture. I don't expect to be able to get the valve integrated in to the cylinder like in the picture. My plan is to just have a check valve somewhere in the line.
Does anyone either know where I can find a cylinder like the one pictured (that would be ideal)? Or at least a pilot operated check valve that can be manually actuated?
