Manual for Jinma 284

Does anyone know where I can obtain a service repair manual for the Jinma 284 with QC385 motor?

I'm not aware of Jinma ever publishing a service manual like we are used to seeing for vehicles. They usually only have a parts manual/book and an operators manual which will include things like scheduled service procedures. Things like re-torque of head bolts or adjustment of clutch.
Check with one of the online dealers like Affordable Tractors or Circle G Tractors, they may have more detailed information about your particular unit.

I was in contact with one of the representatives of a Chinese company which provides spare parts for tractor motors and what not - and he said that he had asked his engineers to look for a service manual of this particular tractor engine, but said that they couldn't find one, because the engine is an older model or something. So I got the impression that they do have something like of a service manual. But of course I could be wrong as well. Anyway, thank you for the information!

Service manuals for small Chinese tractors do not exist. Period. Only operator's and parts manuals are offered, and in some cases separate operator's and parts manuals are offered for the engine which are different manufacturers. Chinese tractor manufacturers assume the purchaser has good mechanical acuity and common sense. I've found the manuals with isometric drawings and "Chinglish" nomenclature to be extremely helpful.
