The HARBOR FREIGHT quick hitch i bought a couple years ago,has never been used.At the same time i bought it, another former TBN member, gave me his unused one.Iused his for attaching my 3 point plow in my bucket,as some of you might recall.I never used this one .Ididnt want the extra weight back there for my snowblower, and also the driveshaft for my chipper was already cut.
Recently my neighbor 1/2 mile down the street asked me if i wanted some large ash trees down near her orchard, icouldnt pass up.
Thursday i sawed and split it all ,must be two cord at least ready to haul home. While its inaccessable for a vehicle ,i can haul it with my atv and trailer, but i was thinking if i used the bota i could fill my 5 ft trailer i haul behind the atv,and also fill my front end loader
plus get some seat time
I needed to put a reciever on the tractor ,i decided if i modifyed the quick hitch, the ball would be way back away from the rear tires to help in sharp turning.
Iguess a pic is worth a thousand words,i welded some scrap channel togeather, attached it to the quick hitch, and welded a 2 inch reciever to it,to recieve all my reese hitch ends i have
Ican still use my 3 point attachments if i want, but if you mod yours,it might interfere with a driveline,im not sure.It wont bother me with my rake,or rear blade, and like i said i dont use it with my powered implements any way.
Heres a couple before and after pics for you.Ill get some in action shots when i haul the wood
